Polaris Realty Turns Out The Lights for Earth Hour
03/21/2013

Earth Hour has become an annual, international phenomenon, drawing attention to many of today's most challenging environmental issues, while pressing for the critical solutions. In 2012, hundreds of millions of people in 152 countries tangibly demonstrated their concern for the future well-being of Planet Earth. This year, Polaris Realty (Canada) Limited is proud to once again renew its commitment to this vital collective effort.

On March 23, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30, the lights will go dark at each of our Montreal properties in three unique and significant ways:

The fact is, at Polaris Realty "green thinking" is corporate policy, reflected in a number of proactive initiatives that meet North America's most stringent environmental standards. As a result of these significant, ongoing efforts, 800 René-Lévesque Blvd. West and 1501 McGill College have been awarded BOMA BESt Level 2 certification, while 1253 McGill College has been LEED-EB certified.

From climate change to the loss of our forests and oceans, the challenges may seem daunting, even impossible to overcome. That's what makes Earth Hour all the more important. It's about possibilities. It's about coming together for a common cause. It's about finding solutions for today, tomorrow and generations to come.

More than 7000 cities and towns, along with countless millions of individuals, organizations and businesses will be taking part in Earth Hour 2013. At Polaris Realty, we hope you will be an active part of this extraordinary celebration of commitment, too. In the words of John F. Kennedy, “One person can make a difference, and everyone should try.”

On March 23, we can light the way together by turning out the lights together.
